The monologues include stories of infertility, premature birth, menopause, miscarriage, abortion, blood management, postpartum depression, uneven distribution of labour/judgement, and choices around gender affirming care.

Fertility is exiting its 5-year development phase and is heading to production Spring 2025.

Fertility has been supported by the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Arts Council, Hamilton City Enrichment Fund and our generous community.

Muddy Bay
(Working Title)

Created by Carly Billings and Laura Welch
Muddy Bay explores the mysterious disappearance of a Montreal socialite in the 1920’s outside of a Labrador Residential School and the stories that have been missing from the history surrounding her death. This work in development is supported by The Ontario Arts Council and has received recommendations from Native Earth Theatre and Tottering Biped Theatre.

Where we started.

In 2019, Laura Welch and Rebekka Gondosch created Light Echo Theatre in order to produce a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues”. Ten performers came together to help raise money for Sacha Sexual Assault Centre and Birthmark Doula Support.

The Vagina Monologues included performances by Rebekka Gondosch, Emanuela Hall, Alyssa Curto, Amanda De Freitas, Melissa Murray-Mutch, Emily Lukasik, Laura Welch, Carly Anna Billings, Kaleigh Gorka and Air White.
